United, We Sewed.

In collaboration with the NYC Mask Initiative, a non-profit group of nearly 200 creatives and tailors, I participated as a sewist donating materials, time, and empathy to help get much-needed masks to our healthcare and essential workers due to the PPE shortage. I could not have been happier to do it since sewing and meditating is how I bring restorative peace to a tumultuous day. I didn’t realize I would complete over 300 masks during the course of Wave 1 and 2 of the pandemic. My appreciation goes out to those who have saved lives and worked in the healthcare community, as well as those who delivered much needed goods and services. I wish those who were affected by COVID-19 a road to healing, and my sincere condolences for the lost.
